About the Campaign
The Hypertension Bites campaign was created by the Hypertension Control Alliance.
The Hypertension Control Alliance is a group of respected organizations committed to improving high blood pressure control and reducing uncontrolled high blood pressure across the United States. The Alliance works to advance awareness, action, and patient-centered solutions for high blood pressure prevention and control. Through the Hypertension Bites campaign, national community outreach, and local community interventions starting in Atlanta, Georgia, the Alliance empowers people to understand the risks of uncontrolled high blood pressure and take practical steps to prevent and manage it.
Convened by the CDC Foundation, the Alliance brings together public health, clinical, nonprofit, and private-sector leaders, including:

Every Action Counts
"Every Action Counts" helps organizations amplify their high blood pressure control efforts while contributing to a national goal to improve hypertension awareness and action.
You may already be supporting blood pressure control in meaningful ways, but looking for more ways to measure your impact. Through "Every Action Counts," you receive a custom link to share with your audiences, connecting them to practical next steps while tracking your impact over time. You will also receive metrics reports showing how many actions you generate through your outreach.
Share your link through websites, newsletters, social media, patient outreach, and community events.
Actions include:
- Creating a personalized blood pressure control plan
- Using an interactive chat tool to get questions answered
- Downloading tools, like the blood pressure control journal
Together, partners are working toward 100,000 actions by December 1, 2026.
